The Rollin’ Rues: Well, Jake races a dirt bike and in mid 2019 he went on a “fun ride day” that turned out to be not so fun. He went over the bars and broke his right wrist and three ribs. Needless to say, that led us to a meeting.

The Rollin’ Rues: We have the 2020 Adventurer 86FB and we absolutely love it! We chose this model because of several reasons.. Sitting at the dinette, you have awesome views from your camping window, the window by the door, through the screen door and over the sink. We love the size of the refrigerator and the bathroom is pretty spacious for a wet bath. The skylight in the bathroom let’s in a lot of natural light. We like the size of the closest in the bedroom and we LOVE LOVE LOVE the moonroof over the bed! I have to say, that is our favorite! Laying in bed at night and watching the stars to watching the clouds float by during the day. Even listening and watching the rain... true meaning of relaxation. Jake likes the size of the holding tanks and we like how sturdy and easy the stairs are. We just felt it was perfect for us and our four legged daughter, Maggie.

The Rollin’ Rues: Yes, we have traveled a bit before COVID-19. We went to Matagorda Bay Nature & RV Park in Matagorda, Tex. We went to Lake Texana in Edna, Tex. and we just recently boondocked at Magnolia Beach in Magnolia Beach, Tex. It is so much easier to load up and just go. Park where we want to park. Boondocking is so simple and backing into a site at a campground is so much easier (and without those curse words to your spouse! Lol). We believe that’s what camping is all about... stress free.

We believe that life is to short and everything is materialistic. You only need a couple of things to live on and with going smaller and seeing God’s beauty well, it’s priceless. Camping should be stress free and we believe that less is more. Besides, you’re supposed to be outside majority of the time anyway… right? We loved that we made this choice. We’re looking forward to many adventures in our Adventurer “Gypsy Bella”!

The annual trip to Kenya with World Vision was a one-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our employees to directly serve the communities we sponsor and witness the progress we have made through our partnership with World Vision. Relying on farming is getting more challenging because of the effects of climate change. It has left farming cycles inconsistent and brought on droughts due to reportedly dryer seasons. Without enough food or welfare, families rely on relief assistance to survive and only 35% of the community is above the poverty line.

We are now in phase 1 of the program (ADP) in Taveta and are building the foundation to ensure that all children can access education, immunization, and clean water. Our current mission with the support of World Vision is to “ensure children can access and benefit from quality education” to improve their livelihoods and protect their human rights. Children are a vulnerable social group and the reality is that many of them are exposed to poverty, prostitution, and child labor.

At Taveta, everybody described being welcomed with open arms and big smiling faces. Shortly after the greetings, everyone, including our team, broke out into a soccer game. Some of the children didn’t even have shoes but that didn’t stop them from beating the adults in every single soccer game. Experiencing the pure joy of these children was a strong reminder of why we choose to support and participate in the World Vision program.

Off-grid RV campers become custodians of the environments they visit. There are no camp hosts in the wild to clean up and manage the site. The responsibility rests on you. As mentioned, off-grid camping requires shifting your mindset towards conservation. Without water, sewage, or power hook-ups, you are self-reliant out there and have limited resources. History - 1969 - Founded
At the age of forty- nine, Erdman Epp had been a general manager for a co-op store in western Canada for twenty-two years. He then found himself looking for work and purchased a camper company in 1969 with five employees. It was there that the Epp family began it's journey into the RV industry.

Erdman was focused on instilling a hard work ethic and an attention to detail to his staff and family members. He wanted to build a company with good business ethics and nothing made him happier than a satisfied customer. James Epp, Erdmans son spent his summer breaks and holidays working for the company full-time and then worked twenty-hours a week during school. Doing whatever needed to help, from sweeping floors, counting inventory and being the helping hand when and wherever asked.

Fraserway RV - A dealership network aimed at sales and servicing of RV's. Slumber Queen MFG- A manufacturing focused company driven to build and establish quality focused products the company was founded upon.

In 1993 Slumber Queen MFG, needed to keep up with customer demands. This lead to building a new 16,000 sqft expansion which increased the overall operating capacity to 32,000. In addition to honouring Adventurer Manufacturing’s rich history, the 1990s saw a rededication to younger generations of travelers. In order to appeal to younger buyers, the 90FWS Adventurer model was produced to give these individuals the freedom they desired.

The 2000's for many business's provided hardship, traveling became harder for many families. Overall sales were declining in the RV industry collectively. Strategic decisions were needed to drive Adventurer Manufacturing forward. The Solution After successfully operating out of Abbotsford, British Columbia for over 30 years. A decision was made to move to the current facility in Yakima, Washington was made in 2008. This allowed Adventurer Manufacturing to expand its operating capacity and become more sustainable in the future.
